Sculpture of bronze lying greyhound dog 105cm
Description
This bronze classic statue of a lying hare wind dog measures approximately 90x11x95cm high and is made in a traditional manner using the so-called lost wax method.
This is done as follows: a wax model is embedded in a refractory mass such as clay, after which the wax is melted out and the mold is dried. Bronze is then poured into the resulting cavity. After cooling, the mold is dismantled and the opening through which the bronze was poured into the mold is sawn off, leaving the sculpture. Finally, the statue is finished by soldering holes closed, grinding away imperfections and then coloring it with an acid. Larger bronze statues are cast in parts and then welded together and then ground smooth.
Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin. The higher the copper content, the higher quality the bronze is. This statue has a minimum copper content of 75%, which absolutely guarantees durability.
You can place this bronze sculpture outdoors on any flat surface, many models are equipped with an M8 threaded connection, with which the statue can be secured. If this is not provided, each image can be secured with a good mounting kit. Outdoors, bronze statues will become slightly duller in color, you can make them shiny again by maintaining them with beeswax.
Bronze statues are often placed on a matching pedestal. We have a huge collection of columns and pedestals so that you can create a beautiful combination.
